There will be no Biophysics Test/Quiz for Dr. XuHL's lessons.

This has been confirmed as I had already emailed and got his reply yesterday.

EDIT: topics for MST = topic 4 + topic 5 (until infrared, including infrared)

Note: We are still having the biophy quiz for Mr. Goh's lesson.

And a little reminders:

- I think there is no need to bring your laptops tomorrow, since tomorrow we have our biophysics quiz during mr.goh's lesson, but hey, it's up to you all. I mean it's a free-for-all thing nowadays, you can bring your laptops as and when you like ( except for certain days where we HAVE to bring our laptops such as CRS and during maths on friday)

-Our lessons start at 8 tomorrow, due to the fact we have extra dr.e's lessons.

-We have to hand in our A&P Practical 2 on the drawing of the human heart and respiratory system on tuesday, so please get it done A.S.A.P or Dr.E will hunt you down.

That's all. Bye!

Hey guys, it looks like we have another temperature taking exercise on 25th may, this monday.
Which means we have to bring on thermometers.

-quotes-
Dear students,
MOE has instructed that we conduct another temperature taking exercise on
Monday, 25 May 2009.

As mentioned in my previous email, all the temperature records will be
entered on a class by class basis by your lecturer or class tutor.

If you still do not own a thermometer, please get one immediately from your
school office at $3 each.

Please take and note your temperature before you come to campus in the
morning this coming Monday, 25th May. Give your temperature reading to your
lecturer or class tutor. If you are unwell or have a temperature higher
than 38 degrees, you should see a doctor and stay at home.

If you are leaving Singapore either for holidays or other reasons, you must
inform us by submitting a declaration form to your class tutor.

Once again, thank you for your cooperation.

Edward Quah

Deputy Principal (Services)

Also, remember we have our biophysics presentation on wednesday,
27th of may, at 1-4pm at T242

Next week will be a rather busy and tough week for us, so good luck
to us all.

Cheers!

Hey all, your assistant class rep blogging here again.

I just wanted to refine my previous post a little.

Firstly, to anyone in DBT/FT/1A of 2009, if you have been in any way offended by me (even slightly), i honestly apologize as it was most probably unintended or just a joke.

Of course for 1A/01, if i posted anything here on the class blog to offend any of you, again, i apologize.

And to my awesome 1A/02 classmates out there, if I might have did something that make you guys unhappy, I apologize too.

I mean hey, whether you like it or not, we're might be classmates/buddy classmates for a whole 3 years.

So why not we spend this 3 years strengthing our friendship with each other, and helping each other in (be it in studies/activites/CCAs), instead of harbouring bad thoughts about one another.

Don't forget, we still have like 40 students from class 1B, and not to mention the hundreds or thousands of students in NYP, NP, TP, RP, or whatever polytechnic/private school out there who are competing with us for spots in university, spots for job attachments, and more.

So we shouldn't let such minor things get in our way, right?

Anyway to bring some good news, our dear class rep, nick ng, who we all dearly miss this past two days, will be resuming lessons again tomorrow.

So yeah that's all. Have a nice day everyone   :D

Wednesday, May 20, 2009 x 10:01 PM

Hey guys, remember to hand in your BS/BM data sheet tomorrow....

And just to clear up a little of confusion some of you might have, i do not hate 1A/01 or anything.

And seriously, 1A/01 peeps, whatever thing i might have said on the blog or verbally to offend you all is just a joke. No pun/harm/offence intended.

So if I did offend any of you guys in 1A/01, sorry then.

Monday, May 18, 2009 x 10:25 PM

erm everyone i have bad news.

year one party will be on this wednesday. its compulsory. damn it.

goodnight.

from your class rep.

Hey guys, M'sia just confirmed it's first case of the H1n1 virus!

So if you have any malaysian relatives/friends or so, ask them to take care :-)

Of course, we have to be extra alert now on ourselves, but don't worry that much.

Thus the please remember to bring your thermometers on this monday.

And hand in your biophysics vase question by today, before 11.59pm.

Mr. Goh's email is tong@sp.edu.sg

Thursday, May 14, 2009 x 9:33 PM

Bring your lappies tomorrow for the maths lesson!

And oh, please do not think that i hate 1A/01, i mean why would I?
I'm just joking when i use their names sometimes, after all we are buddy classes and we should strive to be really good buddies with them , right guys ?

:D

Wednesday, May 13, 2009 x 8:55 PM

Hey guys, remember to bring your laptops tomorrow for Mr G. Poi's lesson!
And for those who HAVE NOT collected your blood test results, you have to collect
it personally on another date ( *winks at kenneth* )

The homework list has been updated/edited, thanks Minna for the correction.

Monday, May 11, 2009 x 1:50 PM

Bring your thermometers on 12th May and 18th May.
Quoted by Mr. Edward Quah

Mon, May 11, 2009 -- Temperature taking exercises on 12th and 18th May

Dear students,

Although MOH has lowered the DORSCON alert level for Influenza A(H1N1) from Orange to Yellow with effect from Monday, 11 May 2009, we should still continue to remain vigilant. MOE has instructed that we conduct 2 temperature taking exercises (once a day) – the first one on Tuesday, 12 May and the second on Monday, 18 May 2009.

As some of you experienced difficulty in recording your temperature into the STRES system or via sms, we have decided that all temperature records will be entered on a class by class basis by your lecturer or class tutor.

If you still do not own a thermometer, please get one immediately. We have sufficient stock of thermometers as new ones were delivered last week. We will continue to sell them at $3.00 each.

Please take and note your temperature before you come to campus in the morning on the 12th and 18th of May. Give your temperature reading to your lecturer or class tutor. If you are unwell or have a temperature higher than 38 degrees, you should see a doctor and stay at home.

If you are leaving Singapore either for holidays or other reasons, you must inform us by submitting a declaration form to your class tutor.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Saturday, May 2, 2009 x 8:57 PM

hello everyone

i quote black board

It is compulsory for all 1st Year students to maintain a Student Portfolio that describes the goals and achievements throughout your stay in SP. You are required to create this through the e-Portfolio feature within the "My Contents" page and copy the URL link to Student Portfolio field in your SAS application.

Discuss and inform your Personal Tutor when you have created the first draft. Thereafter update your portfolio regularly.

A well-maintained portfolio helps you to assess your progress and make future plans. It also helps you to maximise your potential and learning experience in SP. An updated portfolio enables your personal tutor to post comments and assign ratings, which may be reflected in your testimonial.

We earnestly encourage you to do so.
